An off-road Mazda Miata called Buddy is being prepared to race in Baja, Mexico, marking the vehicle’s first appearance in a Mexican event.
The driver has previously competed in Baja in several different classes, according to an account published by Jalopnik.
This time, however, the challenge is different: Buddy, the modified Miata, will make its own Baja debut rather than returning in one of the vehicles raced previously.
The planned entry puts an unconventional off-road build into one of motorsport’s most demanding settings, with the driver openly acknowledging the ambitious nature of the decision.
